Shoes

Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the aerial and floor space. Cubbies are provided by the door for you to store your shoes and other personal items.

Fly pole does permit the use of gym-only shoes. This means the shoes are not worn outside of the studio. We do not permit the use of street shoes on apparatus. Fly pole shoes must can not have metal on them to protect the apparatus from being damaged.

Fragrances

To help maintain a comfortable and welcoming environment for everyone, please avoid applying perfumes, colognes, scented lotions, essential oils, body sprays, or other strongly scented products before or during class. Fragrances can be distracting or uncomfortable for others, and some individuals may be sensitive to scented products.

We can not currently designate as a fragrance-free space as some of our soaps do have light fragrance in them.

Shirt Policy

To keep our space inclusive for different bodies, identities, and levels of privilege, everyone must have the front of their chest/peck area covered in class.

Cancellations

If you cancel 24 hours in advance your class credit will be returned to your account for future use. Classes canceled less than 24 hours in advance will forfeit the class pass. Classes canceled less than 4 hours before the start of class will result in a $10 fee.

We know that life happens. Students get a late cancelation fee waived once every 3 months as long as you email the studio within 12 hours of class.

No Shows

No-shows to class will result in a $20 fee.

Late Arrival

For the safety of you and those around you, we have a strict 10-min late policy. You must be in the studio and warming up with the class within 10 minutes of the start of class otherwise, you will not be allowed to take the class. If you are 10+ late, your class pass will not be refunded to your account.

Memberships

Memberships require a 3- or 12-month commitment and auto-renew unless changed or cancelled.

Cancellation or downgrading of memberships can occur after the initial time commitment by providing 15 business days’ notice via email. Changes later will be processed on the next billing cycle. Upgrades in quantity or time commitment can be made by emailing the studio.

Unused classes do not carry over to the following month, and memberships can not be shared with other members.

Memberships can be frozen for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months. Freezes occur within the regular billing cycle and can not be backdated. Membership suspensions can occur with a letter from a medical professional.

Membership prices and perks are subject to change. All changes will be communicated to members beforehand.

Videos & Photos

Videos and photos are permitted within the space as long as it is not disruptive to class or creating an unsafe environment.

All videos and photos taken at the studio must have verbal consent of all present in the video or photo prior to recording. This consent is required each time you are in the space and regardless of whether you are posting or sharing with others.

Instructors and TA’s are not permitted to take videos or photos during class to ensure they are attending to the safety of others.

Safety

For the safety of our students, instructors, and staff, we reserve the right to dismiss any student from class, or the studio, for violating safety policies and procedures.

We also reserve the right to dismiss students for violating our code of conduct and non-discrimination policies.

For your safety, and those around you, please refrain from teaching, spotting, or coaching your fellow students in class or during open gym.

Under the Influence

The use of alcohol and drugs is not permitted during or before studio activities. Anyone under suspicion of being under the influence will be asked to leave class and the studio. The class pass will not be refunded.

Class Minimums

Classes must have at least 4 sign-ups in order to run. Classes below this will be cancelled 5 hours before class. All attendees will be informed and have their pass refunded back to their account.

We believe these class minimums will help instructors plan more effectively and be respectful of their time. Class minimums also help us continue working toward making BAD a sustainable business—one that can keep showing up for and supporting our community for the long term.

We do not comment on others’ bodies. We do not speak poorly to our own bodies.

We respect pronouns and chosen names.

We are a queer-owned studio and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community in all its colours.

Discrimination based on race, colour, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, sex, disability, age, genetic information, nation of origin, and mental development is illegal and is approached with zero tolerance in and around our space and community.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment and discrimination of any kind.

Participant Age

For insurance purposes, all group classes require participants to be 18+ years old.

Refunds

All sales are final.
